Things to Remember

Instructions

You will need

  • A laptop, desktop computer, or tablet with internet access
  • The URL of your completed Visual Programming project to be uploaded to our submission form
  • A device with the ability to record video

How to submit your project

  1. Develop your project.
  2. Record a short video (maximum of 5 minutes – content beyond 5 minutes will not be considered) to show us your project and answer these three questions:
    • Tell us about your project. Why did you choose to make it?
    • What did you find difficult while making your project and how did you work it out?
    • Is there anything you would do differently or you would add if you had more time?
  3. Once you have completed your video, upload it to YouTube. Remember to disable comments on your uploaded video and to make sure that it is public.
  4. Once that’s successful, visit the submission page and complete the form. Remember to include the URL (link) of your project and video. 
  5. Optional to submit the project files in submission form, to help the judges to understand your project better.

Quick checklist for Visual Programming projects

  2. Have you filled in the submission form with the URL of your Visual Programming project and URL of your video?

How to submit your project

  5. Files needed:
    • File 1: Zip your projects files and upload them in the submission form. 
    • File 2: Make note of the URL link of your website that is hosted online.

  2. Have you filled in the submission form with the URL of your website, zipped web project and URL of your video?

Note:

  • For primary school students, not all are expected to code their own websites, so they are allowed to use platforms like Canva, Google Sites, Wix, and similar tools.
  • For secondary school students, using such platforms is not permitted, as they are expected to have more exposure and knowledge of coding.

How to submit your project

  1. Develop your AI project.
  2. Make a short video (maximum 5 minutes) showing your project and explaining the code. In the video, answer:
    • What is your project and why did you make it?
    • What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
    • What would you improve or add with more time?
  3. Upload your video to YouTube (make it public, disable comments).
  4. Submit your project by filling out the submission form. Include:
    • The YouTube video link
  5. Your project file(s) for judging.
