Things to Remember

  1. If you are under 13, please get the help from a parent, guardian or teacher to submit on your behalf.
  2. Participants can only register and be judged on 1 project (individual or group project) at Coolest Projects.
  3. You can enter as an individual or as a team (max. 3 people).
  4. All submissions must be in English or Bahasa Malaysia. A video with Bahasa Malaysia audio is required to have an English subtitle integrated.
  5. All project and video submissions will be made available for the public to see. Make sure you don’t include any personal and sensitive information in your projects and videos.
  6. You must answer the three questions about your project. Please remember this when recording your submission videos and double-check this before you submit.
  7. The URLs of your Scratch projects (if you are participating in the Scratch category), URLs of web projects (if you are participating in the Web category), and URLs of your videos are important. Make sure you have them when filling out the submission form! You may also add a programming code file URL for Games and Hardware projects if you think it might help the judges understand your project better.
  8. Top entries for each category will be invited to showcase their projects to our panel of judges to determine the winning entries. This session will be conducted in-person at Spice Arena, Penang.
  9. Please ensure that the project is your work and is not copied wholesale from any other person’s work.
  10. All participants are reminded to refrain from using any inappropriate, violent and/or copyrighted content in their projects.
  11. Coolest Projects is open to unfinished projects: just submit your project and showcase the parts that are working. Coolest Projects is all about the experience and learning gained from participating and showcasing what you have created.
